The AskaMom Foundation was established in 2021 with a clear mission to provide general support to marginalized and vulnerable individuals, especially women and children.
Initially focused on serving the needs of vulnerable pregnant women, neglected orphans, and abandoned widows/widowers, our organization has since expanded its scope to address the multifaceted needs of our community, including providing support to the homeless and less privileged individuals.
The foundation’s expertise extends to specific areas, including orphan care, widowed support, trauma-informed care, and community development. By providing care and support to orphans, supporting the widowed through counseling and economic empowerment, and addressing the trauma experienced by vulnerable women and children, the foundation makes a meaningful impact in the lives of those it serves.
Our approach is holistic, addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of vulnerable individuals/groups through collaborative partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups. We conduct needs assessments, design programs, implement, monitor and evaluate them in order to sustain their effectiveness.
Guided by compassion, inclusivity, empowerment, and accountability, our team of staff, board of directors and volunteers work together to make a meaningful impact. We share success stories, data, and testimonials to demonstrate the effectiveness of our programs and the difference we’re making in the lives of those we’ve touched.
We provide education and training opportunities to empower women with skills and knowledge, and foster leadership and advocacy skills to promote their participation in decision-making processes.
